Happy New Year!

Happy New Year friends! I hope you had a safe and fun night of celebrating whether you were decked out and partying or snuggled in your jammies at home with loved ones. We actually went to some friends, ate too much and played cards. We left before the ball dropped to beat the crazy's home on the road.

When I was adding the text to the picture above, I couldn't help myself and made a "photo booth" version for fun.

Y'all know I've shared that I'm not a resolution maker or goal writer downer but I do hope to give Coast to Coast a face lift pretty soon. I've been wanting to do a little redesign for quite a while and you guys are all kinds of inspiring. So many of my blogging friends have done this over the past year and I'm feeling a little left behind and schlumpy.

We had a great holiday, good travels and fun with family all while eating way too much. (I'm detecting a theme for the end of the year) Katie and I are starting a 3 day detox/cleanse on Wednesday, so wish us luck.

I'm so thankful for each and every one of you and my wish for you is for a healthy and prosperous New Year. I'd encourage you to step out of your comfort zone from time to time and push your boundaries. The only way to grow is to stretch. You won't move forward if you're standing still. Profound, I know...lol.

Happy 2018 friends!!!

    1. Happy New Year Andrea!! It’s so stinkin’ hard to stay awake til’ midnight. I’ve never been a night owl. Maybe 2018 will be the year our sweet little group meets face to face. How fun would that be? Hope you’re having a wonderful week sweet friend. XOXO

  4. Excellent advice my friend but your blog is far from schlumpy!!! You do a terrific job. Love the photo booth effect you gave your family pic! I need to do a cleanse too but with all the stress I have coming up very soon with my job change I don't think that's a good idea for me. Next Monday is my last day at my school and Tuesday I go to an all day training for the new job! I'm needing and saying major prayers for this huge change.
Happy New Year my friend - 2018 is going to be wonderful I just know it!!!

    1. You are just going to have the best year. I know it! I'll be praying for you during your transition. I know it's stressful, but once you get through that it will hopefully be smooth sailing and all you hope it will be. Katie and I are heading to the store to gather "supplies" for the next 3 days. Am I always doing some hair-brained thing? LOL I'm going to attempt making "bone broth". I've been reading up on it and it's supposed to be so good for you. Honestly, the name of it kinda makes me gag, so we'll see how it goes. (it seems like it's just stock made from bones but the name is gross) I've started the grieving process as time approaches for Katie to leave on Saturday and I'm sure you are the same with Nolan. EEEKKKK....I just remembered that my Barrington bag will hopefully be delivered TODAY!!! So excited. Good grief, I am rambling all over the board. OK, Have a great day cutie!!! XOXO

  5. Sounds like a fun way to welcome in the new year! :) I spent the new year in bed asleep, until the fireworks woke up the toddlers and scared the do and I had to go cuddle them all haha. Then right back to bed!

Happy new year! Hope that 2018 is off to an amazing start for you, and you had a wonderful Christmas time.

    1. Hi Mica! Happy New Year’s to you too. Oh how I remember the days of little’s being awakened by fireworks. Always hated it when I’d hear them start up. Hope you’re having a wonderful first week of 2018 too. XOXO

  6. So cute! I love the fun family picture. :)

It's hard to let go of this sweet time of year that is snuggly, delicious, and just a little bit laid back. I'm ready for a schedule again, though.

Looking forward to more of your gorgeous inspiration this year.

  7. I redesigned my blog last year and I have to say it was such a good decision! I even moved to WordPress which was quite a learning curve, BUT an even better decision! I look forward to seeing the new design here this year! :) We got home before the ball dropped, too as I do hate to be out on the road when the crazies start to leave after midnight. I really only have one resolution and that is to try to eat cleaner and I'm going to work on something different each month this year. I'll probably just start with drinking more water in January, since that is a no brainer and easy to start with.

    1. That’s one of the things I’m considering too, moving to WordPress. I’m not sure what the advantage is though. Please feel free to share. I need to drink more water too. I’m sooo terrible at it. I’ll do good for one day and then bad for 10...lol. Hope you are having a great week. Saw on IG about your sweet girls ears. Big stuff. Hope they don’t hurt her! XOXO

  8. Love the photo booth picture. So cute! Yes, you are so right, we do need to stretch ourselves or we become stagnant. I love a blog redo and generally have one done about every couple of years. I have no idea how to do it myself so I have to hire mine done. Blessings abundant for 2018!

    1. Thanks Lea. I guess I was feeling a little playful. Hahaha. I’ll be paying someone to do my redo too. I have no clue about way to much and what would take someone else 10 minutes, would take me 10 days. Happy New Year sweet lady! XO

    1. Thanks Laura! Sometimes it’s just fun to play around on PicMonkey....lol. The detox is going ok, but we want something crunchy to eat. One day down...we’ll see how long we last. #whimps Hope you’re having a great week.
