Perfect Pink Tunic

Hi friends! Can you believe it's already Wednesday? I'm sure many of you are just like me and after an extended period of time off you lose track of what day it is. I've been off a solid day every day this week projecting myself into the next day. I sure don't need to do that because with every day that passes, we are one day closer to sending Katie back to school. Maybe she'll at least miss the warmth out here when she gets back to Nashville and the frigid temps they've been having. HA!

I've got a beautiful pale pink tunic to share with you today from where else? Loft. Even better yet, it's on sale for 60% off. Loft is actually offering 60% off all sale merchandise.

If I said it once, I've said 100 times. I.love.cozy. If you live where it's super cold right now don't shoot daggers at me when I say this. I actually miss the cold a little bit. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be freezing all the time, but a day here and there of chilly weather when I feel like I can snuggle up in all the cozy things is kind of fun.

When I saw this sweater online I just thought it looked like a sweet little lamb and would be so comfortable. I have to admit, I wasn't wrong. I paired it with my favorite gray leggings. These are from Soma and I have them in black and gray and a black cropped pair as well. They are buttery soft and have a nice wide waistband to keep everything tucked in right where you want it. They aren't linkable in the "shop the post" widgets so I've linked some good alternatives too.

You aren't bound to just leggings with this sweater. It would be super cute with distressed denim or if holes in your jeans aren't your thing, regular jeans would be great. I think if you wanted you could actually pull this down a bit for an off the shoulder look or wear it off just one shoulder if that's your jam.

Katie and I are starting a cleans/detox today. What does this mean? Well we are eating soups, smoothies, and shakes to give our "guts" and bodies a chance to recover from all the delicious junk we ate over the holiday and do a little "reset". Right now I'm drinking a concoction of warm water, a fresh squeezed lemon, 1 T of unfiltered apple cider vinegar and a little Stevia just to keep my mouth from turning inside out. It's pretty tart, but tolerable and I currently have 2 Crock-pots going with bone broth being made in them. This is new to me.  I'll let you know next week how we felt after we finished.

Have a blessed day friends!

    1. Thanks Andrea. It is such a pretty light shade of pink. So the detox is one day down and 2 to go...we’ll see how long we last. We’re already wanting some food to actually “chew”. Hahaha. The bone broth wasn’t as tasty as I thought it would be 😔 Oh well, you never know until you try. Happy almost Thursday. XO

  2. Okay you had me at pink and lost me at bone broth! Ha! Just kidding, you can never lose me. I just placed a Loft order this morning, I saw that sweater but it looks so much better on you than on the online model. I love cozy too and we are actually freezing here!! Yipeeeeeee! I am the only person happy about that I should say. Seriously the news keeps warning us to cover our plants, etc. because it's getting super cold tonight!!! I am stoked!
Also, not happy about my boy going back to school. I think we're taking him back on Saturday - so sad. Ugh. Why does it always hurt???
Good luck with the cleanse, really, I need to do something like that too, maybe next week. With Nolan still home I'm trying to cook all his yummy favorites, like Andrea's sweet and sour chicken. So the food free for all isn't ending just yet. I will tell you that every morning as soon as I wake up I have a glass of water, the juice of 1 lemon, and Himalayan pink sea salt. It really is good for my digestion and I've grown accustomed to the taste. I usually make three days worth at a time and keep them in the fridge so when I wake up at the crack of dawn it's ready to go. I missed a few days over the break and I could tell such a difference. Moral of the story - drink the water concoction you've got going on!
The soft pink is simply gorgeous on you my friend - how's that for being all over the place with my writing?! Ugh - adult ADHD - the struggle is real.

    1. Hahaha... you are so funny. I like the pink better than the bone broth😳 I’ve ordered a couple of things from the Nordstrom sale that I can pick up. My purse came in that I ordered and I didn’t like it...My Barrington tote came through and I LOVE it. Stay tuned. Way to go on the water with lemon every morning. I had water with lemon, ACV and stevia this morning. I was supposed to again tonight, but failed. I’ll try again in the morning. We are truly two peas in a ADHD pod. LOL Happy almost Thursday. XOXO

    1. Hahaha! Thanks! I wore them more last year. This year it's been so warm here I haven't worn them much. So the bone broth was ok...it did make good french onion soup but I had to add some beef bouillon cubes and salt. Hope you enjoyed your abbreviated week. Have a great weekend! XO

  6. Your detox sounds nice and something I need. I am going to try to start getting back on track on Monday, although I should start tomorrow since that is when the kids go back to school after their long 2 week break! I love this pale pink tunic, it'll be perfect for the upcoming Valentine's holiday. :)

    1. I just finished my "morning elixir". Man is it tart and tangy😣 I think I'm getting use to it though, so I hope I can continue it. It's good to get back in the swing of things. Being off your normal routine for an extended period of time is hard. This tunic would be darling for Valentine's Day. Happy Saturday!

  7. I. Love. Cosy. Too. You look softly cosy without being bundled up, which is my current look for our storms. I can feel the comfiness of those boots all the way across the Atlantic! Happy Wednesday, lovely Lisa, x

    1. Cozy is the best, Mary! When it's gray and dreary out it's hard to get motivated to do much of anything. I'll be happy to see spring in a few months. Have a wonderful weekend! XO

    1. Thanks Allie! So I made it two days...better than nothing and was good the 3rd day up until the brownies and ice cream last night...lol. That was Katie's request for her last night at home and who am I to deny her😉 I'm going to try to stick with the detox drink in the morning though. I'm starting to get a little use to it. Have a great weekend! XOXO

  9. Cozy sweaters are the best! I like a few cold days too, but nothing frigid like it is now. I feel like on those frigid days nothing you do or wear can keep you warm! But a day in the 30s is perfect with some hot tea, a fire, and cozy sweater! I'll have to check yours out from LOFT! They always have such great sales!
