I'm so happy Friday is finally here. This week flew by in some ways and in some ways it drug by. Do you ever have those weeks? I've been trying to gradually get things done to get ready for the arrival of the kids. Katie and Erin tomorrow and then Benny on Wednesday. We can't wait to have them here for a little while and have some in house entertainment.
There were several days this week I didn't even leave the house so that means my favorites are pretty slim but I did have a few things to share.
Have you tried either of these products? Naturally (see what I did there, hahaha) they are more expensive than regular sugar and brown sugar, but they are great for keeping with a natural sugar product and really decreasing the calories. I've been using both for a while and really like them. I like brown sugar in my oatmeal and don't feel nearly as guilty using this. They both work well in all the recipes I've used them in.
Sunday afternoon Kent and I took advantage of the holiday BOGO offer at Starbucks. #myfavoriteweekend He was headed up to the office to work for a bit and I was headed for some errands.
(is it just me or do all these number signs look askew???)
First stop was Home Goods and drinking my holiday drink while looking at holiday goodies had me feeling all kinds of festive.
Next up I hit Target. I wanted to check out the new Magnolia Hearth and Hand line. I almost made it out of the store without drinking the Kool-aid and then I spotted this round wooden tray. I think it will be great for setting something on on a buffet to give just a little height or displaying candles and such on.
Sorry about the quality of this picture. I couldn't figure out why it kept coming out all fuzzy. This long sleeve tee I ordered from Loft recently and I really like it. It has side slits and is a little longer and hangs a little looser. It's sold out but here's a similar one. There are a LOT of tops on sale at Loft for LESS than $10. Check them out HERE. This scarf would be really cute with it too and bring in some red for the holidays.
This makes twice in the last week I've worn this combo. You think I like it? Yesterday I wore it to my bible study. I put my hair up because it was raining and I knew I'd be running to and from the car and just didn't feel like dealing with it. Ponytail for the win. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this cardi (on sale) being so long, but I love it.
Shop these looks here
Well that about does it for today. We had our first full day of rain here yesterday. That probably sounds weird to some of y'all that it's note worthy, but trust me, around here it absolutely is big news.

Oh goodness, I miss having a Homegoods in my life! Seriously, I could spend all day in there with a cup of coffee and spend all my money! Also, I'm a HUGE fan of Truvia! I love baking with it for the holidays because I don't feel nearly as guilty having something more natural in my treats. Happy Friday, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteHey my sweet Melissa! Once you get use to HG it's hard to be without it. YAY for Truvia. I know I have a sugar addiction, but honestly...I don't care. LOL Give me all the sweets. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and let's get this holiday season started. XOXO
DeleteHappy Friday doll!!! I love the longer tops with slits! You look adorable as ever especially sporting those festive SB cups!! I like Trivia but love PureVia the best. All the yes's to that round wooden tray..I too drank the Kool-Aid and it's good, lol!! Have a great weekend my love! Kids coming home...eek, I'm so excited!! Enjoy my sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteHey girlie!!! Thanks for the kindness as always. So does PureVia make a baking substitute too. I tried their liquid one, but like the Walmart Stevia best for that. So funny how different people like different products. Hmmm, I can't remember with my feeble mind if you shared what you got or not. Enjoy having the birdies in the nest. Love ya' girl!
DeleteI love that wooden tray!! Yay for family time! I'm sure you're so excited to have them home. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Trista!!! Yep, counting the hours. I've been reading your blog and need to comment. So short on time right now. Happy Weekend!!! XOXO
DeleteLots of things to discuss- love your mugs in the sugar pictures! Those are so neat! I'm headed to Marshalls/Home Goods after school, and I am hopefully just returning and not buying more stuff since I bought everything on the planet last week- there is a peppermint bark candle that is so yummy! Love your outfits- hope y'all have the best break ever!
ReplyDeleteGuess what...they are cute little measuring cups that naturally Katie found on line at Anthro and they ordered for me for gifts. (You're going to love when Ari gets old enough to pay attention and know things you'll love) Hope the returning mission went as planned. I visited both HG and TJ's this week and managed to make it out without purchasing anything. WHAT?!?! #selfcontrolwins PS...I bought a vest and it's coming to the blog soon. Thanks for the encouragement. Have a great weekend!!! XOXO
DeleteI haven't been to Starbucks in ages, I so wanted to take advantage of that bogo deal last week but I had no one to drink with #poorme. That wood tray is cute and you can use it for so much. We're still waiting for a few final details to get completed on the kitchen so I haven't shopped for much in the way of decor. I love going into Homegoods - I want everything I see!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you are counting the hours until your girls get home. Nolan may be coming home tomorrow night or Sunday. I have plans to do our Christmas decorations once he gets here - I can't wait!
I absolutely love that long cardigan on you, especially with that shirt. It needs to get just a little cooler here so I can wear mine again.
Have a wonderful weekend my beautiful friend!
Love ya!
xo,
Kellyann
Well I sure wish I could have been your "drinking buddy". You should have just gotten two tall's and drank both😉 You're going to have so much fun redecorating your new, fresh spaces. The girls said they are game to help, so I should seize them while I can. I sure hope Nolan comes in tonight. Get these kids home!!! I tried the cardi with "our" Loft gingham, but it just didn't look as cute on me, so that's when I switched to this one. Happy Saturday girlie!! XOXO
DeleteOh Lisa, think I have a measuring cup crush, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYes, the numbers do look skew-whiff but I think it's a trick of the eye as I've just measured the gaps with my finger nail - you asked, I investigated!
Now I do like your outfits, I so wish I could wear shirts ... then I think of the ironing and the longing disappears :-). Yours looks pretty perfect.
Happy weekend, hope you find time for more coffee outings. Hugs, x.
Hello darling Mary! (I finally know your name😉) Those cute measuring cups are from Anthropolgie and they were a gift picked out by my sweet girl. I don't know what's up with those numbers. I did them on Picmonkey. I guess I should take another run at it. Have a marvelous weekend sweet lady!
DeleteHaha! I bought the exact same wooden tray. It was the only thing I had to have. I put it on my kitchen island. I bet you guys are so excited for your kids to get there. Have a great weekend my friend! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat minds...I was in our other Target and saw it in 2 smaller sizes, but I resisted. You have a great weekend too!!! XOXO
DeleteLove your new graphics...the numbers do look skewed, but it must be because of the stripes. Great outfits! I saw the Hearth and Hand line in person for the first time, and I was really impressed with the quality. I was eyeing that exact wooden stand! Also like the metal chargers and napkin and rings. have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya, I'm glad it's not just my eyes that see that. I saw one charger in store. They are obviously popular and the napkin rings really are cute too. You're right, the quality looks good. If only I "needed" more stuff...lol. Happy Saturday lady!!!
DeleteI'm excited for you for your kids to come home for the holidays! :) I always see the sign for the B1G1 free drinks at Starbucks and never remember to go! I wonder how backed up the drive through line gets for that (I rarely go in!!). That cardi is so pretty, I am sure I would wear it all the time. I need to click on your link to see where it is from and the price. I have been wanting a longer cardi/duster like that! I am excited about the Black Friday sales and sales going on now. I may have to browse ON today, because I am a card holder so I'd get 50% off! I just bought 4 pairs of jeans from AE in store and got half off the 2nd pair, not sure if I would have purchased them online if I would have gotten 30% off on top of that. (Prob too good to be true!). Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteCarrie
curlycraftymom.com
Thanks Carrie! The cardi is BP from Nordstrom and it's on sale for a little less than $30. I hit ON yesterday and picked up a few things for 50% off. I need to check out the jeans at AE. I see a lot of good stuff about them. For some reason I just think of them as "younger"...maybe because I use to get them for my daughter.😉 Have a great weekend!
DeleteHaving a festive drink is the perfect compliment to looking at festive goods! Hope you're having a great weekend, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! I enjoy browsing more by myself...is that bad?😉 Nobody's time schedule to worry about but my own. Happy Sunday!
DeleteCute styles as always. I think navy is such an under utilized color in wardrobes. Yet, it is so flattering :) We also took advantage of our BOGO Starbucks. Love that round platter, I'm thinking charcuterie plate!
ReplyDeleteHey Nicole! Great to hear from you! Any headway on future decisions??? Thanks for stopping by and the sweet words. You are also right about the round wood tray. It would be great for a charcuterie plate. Happy weekend friend! XO
DeleteOh, is HomeGoods not the BEST??? I love that place. Love your outfit, you wear it well! Have yourself a great Thanksgiving week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lea! YES! HomeGoods is awesome. I've thought about getting a job there for "fun" but I don't want to work nights and weekends. Oh well, I guess I'll just continue to browse with my coffee.😉 I hope your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving week too!
DeleteLove that long cardi on you! And note to your note above...I've always had good luck with AE jeans....good quality too and they don't stretch all out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shelly! I was really afraid it would be too long, but I like it. Thanks for the heads up on the AE jeans. Hope you are having a great weekend!
