Hey there y'all. It's been quite a while since I've done a Try It On Tuesday. Last week I ran to the mall and popped into the Nordstrom dressing room to try a few things on. Are you ready to see what I found?
This cardigan is to replace "the one that got away". I along with almost every other blogger in the free world ordered a long cardigan during the big sale. I was so sad when I received an email saying my order couldn't be fulfilled. I've been watching the website constantly and yesterday I got lucky and they had the gray cardigan in stock in a small petite. I really need the x-small, but I went ahead a grabbed the small to see if it will work. Anyway, back to this one. This is the winter version with a little wool and buttons. I think the length would be better on me in a petite, but if you missed out on the other sweater, this could be just the answer you're looking for. I put a tee on under it which is a perfect layering piece.
As soon as I spotted this next top I was all heart eyes. I have a real soft spot for all things smocked. I think most good southern girls do. I use to do smocking for my kids when they were little and I can't think of anything sweeter than a little person in a cute smocked dress. And yes, little southern boys wear smocking too.
And not only is it smocked, it's plaid and has the ever popular bell sleeve. What more could you ask for?
OK girls. Is this top too cute or what? When is too much plaid, too much plaid? I continue to add plaid shirts to my collection and think I'm done and then find something like this cutie. This is not your ordinary plaid shirt. It's got that extra something in the form of pleats and a collarless neckline. Seriously, this one is too sweet to pass up.
It doesn't have straps, I just happened to have on my gray bra. Go figure😀
Versatility is the name of the game and this sweater has versatility written all over it. It's described as a cowl neck on the website, but when I was trying it on I wasn't sure what to do with it. I found out it can be worn several ways. I love a sweater that can be worn more than one way. This one is soft and long enough to wear with leggings and keep all "the things" covered. Wouldn't it be cute with leggings and boots? Oh yes!
I've never kept it a secret that I love all things soft. I grabbed this one because it's just that. Oh so soft. I really wasn't looking to love it and was so happy when I put it on. It's just so cute. A little swingy and so comfy. Another one that will work with leggings if you are so inclined.
I'm going to say this one was a miss. Maybe if I was taller? It didn't wow me and I almost didn't even include it, but hey...not everything looks good on everybody. Ya' know?

DeleteI LOVE it on Tuesday! Girl, you can never have too much PLAID! Just don't wear mixed plaids like I did one time and think it's cool, ha ha! That red one with the peplum, I am seriously over the moon for!!!! Like SUPER CUTE. I'm kinda tall, do you think the length would be too short on me?

DeleteThat red plaid top is definitely a keeper for you! I like the short sleeve layered sweater but I think the white blouse layer would need to be hemmed(?) I'm loving those long cardigan sweater. My closet is in desperate need of an update. Not as much shopping around here as I'm used to. Bummer for that!

DeleteWell, aren't you just the cutest all those items. You should model for Norstrom's. AND, I did get that black cardigan that you are talking about during the sale. I LOVE Nordstrom and keep them busy with my ordering and we send stuff back and forth all the time. We do not have one any where near so I just use the good ole internet and you can't beat free shipping coming and going! And, I also got that cowl neck grey sweater. How funny! Enjoyable post!

LOL We do have one close by so I at least take it back to the store rather than using the mail. That way I feel a little less guilty😉. Hope you're week is going beautifully! XO
