If you haven't joined in on the leopard trend, then you are missing out. I succumbed to my love of leopard a few years ago and haven't looked back. You might be like I was and thinking you wouldn't get enough wear out of a piece or felt a little self-conscious wearing it. Well I'm here to tell you to kick those thoughts to the curb. Get them out of your head. You will be so happy once you start adding this beautiful little animal print into your closet and your wardrobe and let your inner animal out.๐
While the leopard print happens to be my animal of choice, you can achieve a very similar feel with other animal prints as well. I just happen to feel the leopard/cheetah is the most versatile and pretty much a no fail way to go. It is actually now into the neutral category making it very easy to mix in to your daily styles.
You don't have to go full on leopard, adding just a touch here and there is a great way to come at this trend. A cute pair of shoes, a scarf, a fun clutch or bracelet. Once your comfortable with it, you can move on to coats, pants, sweaters or whatever your heart desires.
I've rounded up a bunch ways I've incorporated this trend into my daily styles without going overboard. In all of these pictures I have added just a touch of animal print here or there.
Don't be afraid to mix leopard with other patterns either. Adding it to a plaid or stripe is when you will get the most bang for your buck and visual interest. Once you begin to experiment with adding it in I think you'll find yourself becoming addicted.
Here are my top 3 favorites for adding leopard.
These flats are one of my favorites for a multitude of reasons. Not only are they so fun they are really comfortable. They have a little padding in the bottom of the foot bed making them great for walking. I was really hesitant when I ordered these because they are a little pricey, but I have more than gotten my money's worth out of them and not regretted them for a single second.
I finally broke down and ordered these beauties and I'm anxiously awaiting there arrival.

ReplyDeleteShelly, YOU NEED those flats. I wear them all the time. I swear I treat them like tennis shoes! I hope Santa does bring them to you. (if he doesn't you just need to pull the trigger yourself.) Hope you're having a great week! XO
DeleteOh yes my leopard loving twin, letting your inner animal out is the way to go! I love all the subtle leopard details, so classy and a little sassy too. I LOVE those pumps you ordered, they will be fantastic for all the wedding events you'll be attending. I'd love to get the pair with the block heel you linked but I have no where to wear them and now that I'll be working from home I really have no excuse. Oh well, a girl can dream right? And live vicariously through her blogging bestie on the West Coast (that's you)!
ReplyDeletexo,
Kellyann
Oh Kellyann...you know me. I ended up sending that pair back. The print was "wonky" like it had been smeared and if I'm paying that much, they'd better be perfect. LOL I actually have decided I want the block heel version too. Oh boy, here we go again. hahaha We are quite the pair. (no pun intended๐) Have a great last day of work! (didn't I read that somewhere) XOXO
DeleteI love leopard! I even have leopard jammies. I really need a leopard clutch, every time I like one it is sold out!
