Friday Favorites #86

Hey friends! I feel like the town crier keeping y'all informed about when things are happening. Last week I reminded you how close we were to Christmas. Today I'm wondering if you knew the first day of winter is next Thursday, which also means it's the shortest day of the year. The best news is, after that the days will start to get longer again. Yippee!

How's your holiday prep going? I hope you aren't feeling overwhelmed and you are finding yourself able to soak in all that comes with this season.

Being Friday and all that, it's time to check in and share my favorites for the week.

Well if you missed Monday's post, I shared our very exciting news that Benny asked Erin to marry him and she said YES!  There's nothing like seeing your kids grow up, fall in love and begin their very own story.

Having this gigantic goofball at home is definitely a favorite. It's fun to have my workout buddy, shopping buddy and all around favorite girl back home. Her dad is pretty happy about it too.

If you follow me on Instagram then maybe you saw this post earlier in the week. Raise your hand if you find yourself walking past your tree and tweaking things. I love having our tree up and how it adds just the perfect amount of light to room.

It took me long enough to buy a military vest, but I finally did and I'm so glad. It's the perfect layer to add on a day when it's not to cold and not too hot, but just right. Sound like a story we all know?😉
And on a side note, these jeans are so comfy and stretchy. They are made by Vigoss and I have a couple of other pairs I also love. They are made with just the right amount of stretch and don't bag out and they are on sale.

The youth group at our church does a fund raising project at Christmas. The money raised goes to a local foster care agency. You can hire them to "Elf" your friends yard with balloons and cute little Elf signs. We had our next door neighbors "Elfed". We thought the little girls would got a real kick out of it. Look how cute they are.

Y'all know it's no secret that I'm a chocoholic. One of the sweet ladies in my bible study is a certified Chocolatier. How cool is that? She was so sweet and brought me this beautiful box of handmade chocolates yesterday and before you ask, yes I practiced kindness and shared with the goobers who live with me. I call them goobers because they are currently sitting right beside me picking on each other. #fatherdaughterlove

I can't thank you enough for continuing to stop by my little blog and read it. The friendships I've made through this space are one of my favorite things. You girls are simply the best and a bright spot in my day. If you happen to be new around here I'd love for you to follow me on Bloglovin'FacebookInstagram & Pinterest and subscribe for email updates whenever there's a new post.

Check out the Link Ups tab up top and see who I'm linking up with today.

  6. What a fabulous idea to raise money, elfing someone's house! I love that. I should pass that on to our church. How cool is that to have a friend who's a chocolatier! Our music teacher's husband is a chocolate sculptor. He does all kinds of projects and has even been on the Food Network. She usually brings us the leftover chocolate after he does an event. I don't eat because it seems gross to me but it always disappears - teachers LOVE chocolate!
I hope you all have a fun filled weekend my friend, mine is going to be busy but in all the best ways!
