Friday Favorites #85

Fri-yay! Not to panic you, but did you realize Christmas Eve is two weeks from tomorrow? Not gonna' lie. I like legit didn't realize that until I just checked the calendar to figure out how long we had. TWO WEEKS people! I find this both exciting and mind numbing at the same time. It's time to make things happen and get er' done as our friend Mater says on Cars. I guess the first thing I can mark of my list for today is Friday Favorites.

Yesterday when I was reading Kellyann's blog, she shared this sign. Well it just cracked me up and now I feel the need to find one. Wouldn't you know in all of her beautiful decor this is what really caught my warped eye? I found a cute one here on Etsy, but I think I could just make one with my Silhouette Cameo machine, which by the way would make a great Christmas gift if you have a crafter in your life. I'm able to do all kinds of fun stuff with this thing.

Shop Nutcrackers here

I'm kinda thinking I should have just copied and pasted Kellyann's blog on here today since she just gave me all sorts of inspiration this week for my favorites. She has the most awesome collection of Nutcrackers. Well here's my collection. All 2 of them.😂 But seriously, this little wooden man has a special place in my heart. Kent use to take the kids to Target (or for Katie the craft store) and let them get me a Christmas gift. Well, Benny kept me supplied with candles. He'd apparently go straight to the candles every year, grab one and be done. Typical little boy. HA! In 2003 he deviated and chose this Nutcracker and it will forever be one of my favorites.

Did you take advantage of candle day at Bath and Body Works on Saturday? We did. I picked up quite a few of our favorite Fresh Balsam candles. If you haven't tried this one yet, you really need to. Your whole house will smell like Christmas. Love it! (I should have moved the little weight. Crazy how you just get use to something laying there)

My new Erin Condren planner arrived this week. I love getting a new planner every year.

Last year I did a personalized cover with pictures of our family, but this year I decided to try a simple design with just my name. It was described as rose gold, but is really more bronze. I love being able to choose how you want to do your organization. I choose a month at a glance type. I need to be able to see the whole thing instead of a week at a time.

I shared this dress on Instagram yesterday. Do you know what you're wearing on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day yet? There are so many great plaid options out there. I found shirts, vests, and scarves just to name a few. This dress would be so cute with tights and a fun pair of OTK boots or leggings and leopard flats.

Here are a bunch of ideas to add a little Christmas cheer to your wardrobe. Throw in a little green or red to make it festive.

Have a great weekend friends and if you're not already, I'd love for you to follow me on  Bloglovin'FacebookInstagram & Pinterest and subscribe for email updates whenever there's a new post.

    1. I saw yesterday you were making some headway on that tree. You go! I told Kent last night Christmas Eve was 2 weeks from today and he was in total disbelief. Good thing I looked that up...LOL Have a wonderful (productive😉) weekend! XO

    1. Thanks, I need to get to work on it. I hate missing a sale too😔. It feels early in the month so it seems like we should have more prep time than two weeks. Hurry, hurry, hurry. 😆 Have a great weekend! XO

  3. Just how are you achieving such beautiful curls, Lisa?!!
I've not come across tracker toys until Kellyanne's post and now seeing yours too, I'm intrigued, and a little hooked. The Target link didn't work and neither my search on the site. #feelingsosad. Hugs, x.

    1. Mary, I'm using a 1 or 1 1/2" curling iron (I have both and switch back and forth). I'd like to try a curling wand for looser curls. Try the Target link again. It's working for me. http://rstyle.me/n/cvkhm2ccf9x Maybe it will work this time. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

  8. I still need to figure out what I'm wearing for Christmas. We usually hang out in our pjs on Christmas Eve and watch holiday movies all day. I've never tried the candles from Bath & Body Works, but with everyone talking about them, I think I'm going to buy one to see what all the hype is about.

  9. This Friday Favorites is a favorite of mine! I can't tell you how happy I am that you get my sense of humor, my sister rolls her eyes at my funny signs because you know, they're not all hoity toity but hey, I'm not all hoity toity! I'd rather laugh and be amused! This nutcracker collection is out of control and getting harder and harder to find unique ones each year. I really try to find one that represents what they're doing at this particular time but I haven't seen any robotics building ones for Collin! The good news is I have taken two days off and I can take a look.
My very favorite candle this time of year is the Fresh Balsam too. I missed the sale last weekend but I have a few and I love burning them while I'm home - they make my whole house smell like a Christmas tree!
I had an Erin Condren planner one year but I didn't make good use out of it. With work I had too many calendars to keep track of but now that I'll be working from home it's probably what I need.
You rounded up the best clothes, I want one of each please Santa! I don't really own a lot of red so I'm really loving the red tops you picked.
Well girl, I hope you have the best weekend! I cannot believe we're in the 2 week countdown to Christmas, oh my word.
Love ya girl and thanks for the shout out and kind words, you are the best!
    xoxo,
    Kellyann

    1. You're welcome. Happy to throw a little love to one of my absolute favorites!!! We are two peas in a pod! That is kinda weird there are no robotic nutcrackers. Maybe you could make one out of a Bionicle (lego)🤣. We go through so many of those candles in the winter months. You will definitely need a planner now and I'm sure you'll do a much better job of utilizing it than I do. I love the extra sheets in the back for jotting all sort of notes. I don't own much red either. I love it, but for some reason I just don't wear it when I buy it, so I finally quit. I have added quite a bit of poppy though. Enjoy your weekend. The countdown is on til' our babies come home❤️. Full (or almost for me) nest and full heart. I think today is going to be the BIG DAY...I'll keep you posted. 😍XO

  10. I can't believe Christmas Eve is in TWO WEEKS! YIKES! I need to get my rump in gear, haha! That sign cracked me up. That's definitely something my mom would have! She also loves nutcrackers, and I think I got her a set when I was little. I always used to get her earrings when I was a kid, and she hardly ever wore earrings, so I don't know where I got that idea, haha. Kids' gifts are always so funny. Hope you have a great weekend, Lisa!!

OH! And I got your address! I have your card all written out (so then you'll have my address too!), I just have to put it out in the mailbox! :)

  11. I hadn't thought about a Christmas outfit for myself. Thanks for sharing a few ideas... I went ahead and ordered that white and red striped tee. And isn't that sign you shared the truth! Haha!

    1. That tee really tempted me, but I was afraid I just wear in once. I'm trying to have some self control (not that my husband would thing I am...LOL) You'll look darling in that top! Can't wait to see a picture. XO

  13. Oh that's so sweet that you got a break from the candles with a nutcracker! I helped my little ones pick out a present to put under the tree for me, haha. They still have to wrap it, I'm hoping their dad will help with that and I'm pretending it's not there, even though my eldest has excitedly taken me to it and showed where it's 'hiding' a few times. I don't think they quite understand surprises yet!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and your Christmas preparation is going well. After a crazy week I managed to wrap some presents which is good, although (as always!) I've run out of tape!
